As classes get started, it’s time to start getting used to a new schedule. We’ve got a few tips to help from our Broward Technical Colleges.

Review Your Schedule

The first thing you want to do is review your schedule for the fall. Make sure the classes you are taking align with your career goals. You also want to make sure that none of your class times are conflicting and that you have the time you need to get from one class to another (and to work or outside responsibilities too).

Visit the Campus

Have you been to our campuses yet? Come check them out! It’s always a good idea to familiarize yourself with our schools before the school year starts. Those first day jitters can really be cut down if you’re confident you know where you need to be.

Purchase Your Textbooks and Supplies

Oftentimes, your instructors will give you an idea of supplies you need after the first day. However, there are still things that can help you prepare. Look into what textbooks and supplies you need for your courses. If you are concerned about the cost of textbooks, you may also want to look into financial aid or scholarships.

Adjust Your Schedule

With the school year nearly underway, it’s also time to get that schedule adjusted! If you’ve spent your summer days sleeping in and staying up late, it’s time to slowly adjust to early mornings again. You also want to check if your day-to-day schedules and routines need to be adjusted for your new class schedule.
